The Jackson Hole Aerial Tram can give a sightseeing day a mountain perspective without making skiing the purpose of the trip. It operates at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Teton Village, not in downtown Jackson. For Windhaven guests in Dubois, start with the correct destination and a schedule that fits the complete outing.
Use the resort’s sightseeing information
The resort’s official tram page describes a ride to Rendezvous Mountain, summit views and separate seasonal sightseeing arrangements. It publishes the current calendar, ticket inclusions and pickup instructions. These can differ from ski tickets and from one gondola’s operating schedule.
The listed 2026 summer tram season runs through October 4. Do not assume summer gondolas or ticket bundles continue afterward. For winter sightseeing, contact the resort or use its current winter information rather than applying the summer timetable.
Choose the summit experience first
Decide whether you want a view-and-return visit or a hike. Those choices require different time, footwear and preparation. A tram ride to elevation does not make every trail at the top an easy walk. Ask the resort which routes fit your party and the day’s conditions.
Mountain wind, colder temperatures and weather can change the experience. Carry layers and allow the operator’s current instructions to overrule your preferred itinerary. If altitude affects someone in your group, discuss the outing with an appropriate professional before making it a must-do activity.
Do not combine every Jackson Hole attraction
A town-square visit and a Teton Village tram ride are different stops. Budget for getting between them, parking, collecting tickets and returning to Dubois. A tightly packed schedule may leave no room for a delay or an enjoyable summit pause.
For a town-focused alternative, read our Jackson Hole day-trip guide. If you want an indoor cultural stop instead, consider our history museum guide.
Ask practical questions before purchasing
- Which lifts and sightseeing experiences are included for your date?
- Where do you collect the ticket and begin the ride?
- What boarding assistance or accessibility arrangements are available?
- What happens if weather prevents the planned experience?
Check pet rules directly rather than arriving with a dog and assuming sightseeing lifts accept it. Keep confirmations available offline.
A mountain day and a different evening
Windhaven RV Resort is a riverside RV home base in Dubois, outside Jackson Hole. We do not operate the tram or provide its tickets. When the outing fits your dates and interests, keep the RV settled and let a well-chosen mountain experience be enough for the day.
