Dubois, Wyoming · Wildlife & Discovery
Big Wyoming moments.
A quieter place to return.
Visit the National Bighorn Sheep Center, discover the wildlife story of Dubois, and come back to a riverside RV stay at Windhaven.

National Bighorn Sheep Center
Meet the story behind the sheep.
The National Bighorn Sheep Center in Dubois explores wild sheep, their habitat, and the work of conservation. Its museum brings that story into focus through exhibits and films about sheep biology, ecology, and management.
Make it part of a Dubois day: learn about the animals at the Center, then enjoy the landscapes that make this corner of Wyoming such a memorable place to visit.
The Center is at 10 Bighorn Lane, Dubois, Wyoming. Contact the Center directly at 307-455-3429 for current programs and group-visit arrangements.
Wildlife beyond the museum
A different kind of Wyoming sightseeing.
Dubois offers more than another stop on the road. The Sheep Center connects a museum visit with a deeper understanding of the surrounding landscape. Ask its team about current wildlife-viewing information and the Whiskey Basin Wildlife Habitat Management Area, where the Whiskey Mountain herd spends the winter.
That makes the Center a natural addition to an offseason itinerary, alongside a quieter RV stay and other seasonal adventures around Dubois. Check weather, access conditions, and any current tour availability directly before setting out.

Animals move freely. Enjoy wildlife from a respectful distance; do not feed, approach, or disturb them.
